2025-2026 Youth Hockey Registration - CLOSED

The Bay County Hockey Association (BCHA) is proud to present our 26th season of supporting, growing, and promoting youth hockey in Bay County. In 1999, the BCHA was founded to partner with the Bay County Civic Arena to provide high quality youth hockey programs. For the 2025-2026 Season, we are offering an expanded line up including new 16U travel team. For our house level teams, we are again offering Skills and Drills with Coach Matt. Following our success last year, we have retained P.O.W.E.R Skating Sessions with Coach Marcie Kierpiec. These sessions will alternate weekly, and be in addition to team practices. Registration deadline September 1, 2025. 

  • Each house (B) team will receive an estimated 3 ice times per week. 1 skills & drills/power skating session, 1 team practice, 1 game. (game schedule will vary due to league schedule)
  • Bi-weekly Skills and Drills Session for 6U through 12U. Skills and Drills is coached by Coach Matt Jacobson from the Mid-Michigan Development program. These session follow the American Development Model (ADM) and build individual player confidence on the ice. Goalie coach provided for each session. 
  • Bi-weekly P.O.W.E.R Skating Sessions coached by Coach Marcie to provide Blizzard players with addition skating techniques and skills 
  • 14U team practices have been extended to 1:20 per session  
  • NEW: Goalie Development Program to strengthen goaltender skills and strength
    • For goaltenders with a 50% in net game commitment, BCHA is pleased to offer 100% registration discount for levels all house  age classifications 10U and above. Use discount code “Goalie." Limit to two goaltenders per team. Full goalie gear required. 
    • Goalie equipment provided by BCHA for 6U and 8U levels
  • Learn to Play Program for ages 3 through 14

  • 18U SPLIT season  - All players must be in high school.  The split season will be in two sessions, Fall and Winter. This allows potential high school players to participate in the preseason, and then try out for their HS team in November. After high school teams form, the BCHA may form a team(s) of the remaining players who register for the Regular season. Regular season team may combine with another area association.  All players turning 18 years old,  2007 & 2008 birth year players must complete SafeSport Training before being added to a team and prior to participation (on-ice or off-ice).

Tournament and Team Activity Fees

*fees above include practices, skills and drills, power skating, and regular season games. Tournament and team activity fees are extra. Check with your team manager upon team assignment.

Registration & Payment Process

Players, Coaches, and Volunteers must register online by choosing the link below.  The first step in registration is a current USA  Hockey Number from USA Hockey. A USA Hockey Number is required to process with the registration process.

You may select a payment plan during the registration process. If selecting a payment plan, please ensure future payments clear your bank or credit card institution. Players who are 30 days or more delinquent on monthly payments shall not participate in team events, games, practices, or tournaments.

*Travel registration is only for players who have been offered a roster slot on a Bay County Hockey Association travel team. 

Travel registration is $100 per player to the BCHA. All other fees are collected at the team level. Check with your team manager for season fees and payment schedule.
